As a recreational musher, someone who’s comfortable with dryland in the southwest area and new to sled mushing I would love to see/hear more on the mechanics of how to get your sled to maneuver correctly. I try to watch any footage of mushers with lots of turns etc, but they’re more focused on the dog view. These types of videos are hard to find. Sled maintenance too. Im sure dryland beginners could use knowledge too. There just isn’t enough out there like this

I am excited that you have obtained mushing magazine I look forward to seeing the new direction you’re taking it. I know I will learn so mush more about the sport and the dogs and hopefully myself in relation to my 2 mushing sibes By the way, we have a small connection. I am friends with April Cox. She helped train me and my boy Jax up in Chester. Our most favorite memory made. Jax passed from k9 seizures last July but April long distance is still aiding my training of the new puppy.

Where the affected dogs in the same confines in the past 6 weeks. It is time for space age medical monitoring teams to partner with vet. schools and mushing. There is technology which could be tried. There is NO WAY the mushers have fault in this.

I have been an “Insider” since 2013 and I’m actually stunned that someone like you who is such a fan of this race does not subscribe! I agree that the $39.99 for the Insider is WELL worth it. Whats that, like the equivalent of a few movie theater tickets?? And like someone said, it’s two weeks of entertainment. We sit and watch all the newest videos from each day - everything from drone footage over the trail, musher interviews, expert perspectives from Greg Heister and Bruce Lee, checkpoint tours to weather forecasts. We likewise have the gps trackers on our computer/devices pretty much for the entire two weeks! Not to diminish in any way the unique perspectives, analysis and sources that you have, but having the Insider as well makes for fantastic and well-rounded coverage. You should check it out!

how disgusting. Talking about telling them to line out when clearly the dog doesnt know it or is to shut down to do it, your "assistant" is DRAGGING the dog into a position you're saying it should KNOW. The whole video the dog is nervous, and you're just ignoring it. Incredibly forceful and incredibly disgusting. Also 'funny' how every time the dog gets dragged you move the camera to you. This is NOT training. Nothing about this is positive for the dog. I support bikejoring, and do it myself, but this is just forcing.

I have had two face to face meetings with Robert over the past few years and in each of these he was VERY forthcoming about his past failings. In this and in other areas, he was very transparent It is easy to play the "victim" card but Ive never seen Robert do it. He takes full ownership with honesty. This kind of open introspection is a core characteristic for those who make such changes. After he shared his past with me, I sold him a fantastic Seppala puppy and I am guarded about who I let my dogs go to- especially pups from my primary leaders. From all that I saw in that business dealing and in his care of that dog since- Id do it again.

People can be very cruel. When I saw rumors start swirling on FB, I didn't even bother to read the posts because I knew it was just a bunch of trolls with nothing better to do with their lives. Robert, you & Michelle and your family are a bright star in the dark sky. You could have just let the rumors continue but you have owned a bad mistake and continued to build your family up higher & higher rather than hiding. You are a true testimony to the resiliant spirit of mushing. I miss mushing very much. I was only part-time recreational but I loved and still love it even though I haven't been on the runners since 2006/2007. And try finding a copy of Mushing here in Prince George - impossible. Mush on Robert & family 🐕 🛷

You have missed quite a lot when it comes to doing this sport. You needed to mention the basic commands your dog needs to know before you hook them up to a line and go bikejoring or mushing sport... Also, your bike is missing the lead holder thingy to keep it away from tangling in the front wheel. It is vital, otherwise, it could harm both you and the dog...
